Connections Come Full Circle - Video

President of Berea Moving & Storage and WOOD-LEE International Art Handler, Lisa Holly, discusses the NAWBO Award she won in 2011. That honor was recognized again, over a decade later, during a visit from award judge Sam Hartwell. Their connection came full circle, as he has become a client.

Transcript:

So, Lisa, for a long time now, you've told me the NAWBO award that you won in 2011 was such a big deal to you...To your company, and such an honor.

I believe you have some stories about that, and some things that you could tell me about that.

Is there something that you could say about that?

One of the judges was a man named Sam Hartwell, and Sam had said, "hands down." I won the award, and I was very excited about that.

And fast forward...12 years, and all of a sudden, Sam Hartwell walks in my door at my company, and he's like, "I know you. You're Lisa Holly. You did this. You did that. " He goes, "I always knew I was right. "

And those were his exact words. "I always knew I was right."

That's awesome.

Oh, my god. It was. It meant everything to me. It meant the approval that I waited...You know, like if my mom had been alive, it was that kind of approval. It was like the "Dad" approval.

You know Sam Hartwell, who is an extraordinary businessman, in the Cleveland area... And he chose me. And now, 12 years later, he's a client. He's a client. There's no really cool words that go with that.

That's awesome!

Yeah.
