For the Love of Christmas

It seemed like nothing was going right for our customer trying to receive their custom shuffleboard table, at least, until we intervened. Made by District Mills, the custom shuffleboard table was heavy and headed to its new home. The table was meant to arrive well before the holidays, but due to delays and unforeseen circumstances, it finally ended up in our warehouse at the beginning of December. The box, fitted with plastic cones on the top that said “do not crush,” had clearly been damaged. The bright yellow warning cones were flattened, leaving evidence of something indeed being stacked on top, despite the warning otherwise. Our team, wisely, contacted the recipient to tell them of the state of the table’s arrival. It was decided between our team and the customer that the best course of action was to remove the table from the damaged crate, check for problems, and then re-crate the table in a newly built box. Once the table was removed, we discovered that it was, thankfully, unscathed, and we were able to re-crate it without a hitch. After the initial hiccups of transportation the table still had to make its way from our Cleveland warehouse, to its final home, all before a Christmas party. We did as much as we could to send enough men to the destination in a short amount of time, so that we would be able to lift the incredibly heavy shuffleboard table, and place it where the customer wanted. The customer was highly satisfied in the end and we got the table in place just in time for the Christmas party!
